What we think and say to ourselves affects how we feel in our bodies. Our body hears and responds to these messages, whether they are positive or negative.
1. What do you believe about your body?
Reflect on your thoughts and beliefs. How do they shape your connection with your body? Are these beliefs mostly positive, neutral, or negative?
2. How do you connect with your body?
Do you take time to listen to your body, care for it, or appreciate it? Or do you tend to ignore it, criticize it, or push it beyond its limits?
3. How do you look at your body?
Do you notice and appreciate its form and function? Or do you focus more on what you wish were different? Try to be honest and gentle with yourself as you reflect.
4. Are you kind to your body?
What are the ways you show kindness to your body? How do you treat it when you feel stressed, tired, or frustrated?
5. What’s the impact of the beliefs I hold about my body?
Reflect on how your beliefs influence the way you care for, think about, and experience your body. Do these beliefs empower you or hold you back?
